Two day district level youth festival concluded, more than two dozen participants got tickets for state level competition

In the two-day district-level youth festival held at the Bikhari Thakur Auditorium in the city, more than two dozen artists were selected for the state-level youth festival based on their performances. The jury members made the final selection. The selected artists were honored with mementos and certificates by the district administration on Saturday.

Chhapra September 28, 2024: In the two-day district-level youth festival held at the Bikhari Thakur Auditorium in the city, more than two dozen artists were selected for the state-level youth festival based on their performances. The jury members made the final selection. The selected artists were honored with mementos and certificates by the district administration on Saturday.

DDC Yatendra Kumar Pal said that the land of Saran is culturally very fertile. The youth here have made Saran proud on many occasions. Saran is the birthplace of folk artists like Bikhari Thakur and Mahendra Misir. Senior Deputy Collector Jeba Arshi said that the participants from Saran will also showcase their talent in the state-level competition and make Saran proud at the national level.

District Art and Culture Officer Dr. Vibha Bharti said that all participants enthusiastically participated in the youth festival. The participants also said that they would not lag behind in establishing Saran at the state level.

On the second day of the district-level youth festival, competitions in classical singing, painting, handicrafts, and Indian instrumental music were held. The young artists captivated the audience and presented a strong claim at the state level. Praveen Anshu secured the first position in tabla playing, Mohammad Panjtan in shehnai playing, and Ranjit Giri in harmonium playing. Kumari Rupa secured the first position in classical dance. In group folk song singing, Dolly Kumari and her group won, while Manoj Yadav and his group secured the second position. In solo folk song competition, Shyam Babu Prasad secured the first position, and Sakshi Priya secured the second position. In group folk dance, Sathi Group came first, Kilkari came second, and Ruby Group came third. In painting, Vishal Sah secured the first position, and Tanya Mehta secured the second position. In sculpture, Anand Kumar Singh came first. In poetry writing, Manoj Kumar Yadav secured the first position, and Anjali secured the second position. In story writing, Anjali Kumari came first, and Vishnu Kumar secured the second position.

In short drama, Govinda Kumar and his group won. In the oratory competition, Prince Kumar gave an excellent presentation and secured the first position, while Gyanendra Kumar delivered his entire speech in English and secured the second position. Rubin Singh secured the third position. In painting, Vishal Sah came first, Tanya Mehta second, and Rishika Gupta secured the third position. In the handicraft competition, Akhil Raj Singh was the winner. Disha Kumari and Raj Laxmi Kumari secured the second and third positions, respectively. Pramod Kumar Yadav excelled in photography. Shilki Kumari secured the second position, and Prakash Kumar secured the third position. The role of the jury in the two-day youth festival was highly commendable.

The jury included Pashupati Nath Arun, Dr. Amit Ranjan, Happy Srivastava, Priyanka Kumari, Jyotsna, Sonam Mishra, Vinita Kumari, Kanchan Bala, Sudhakar Kashyap, Govind Vallabh, Bakshi Vikas, Vivek Samdarshi, Dharmendra Kumar Sharma, Dr. Sudarshan Kumar Rai, Ashok Kumar Singh, Nageshwar Prasad, Dr. Vishal Bhushan, Vijendra Kumar Vijay, Ravi Shankar Narayan Singh, and others.

The successful conduct of the program was significantly contributed by Sanjay Bhardwaj and Nadeem Ahmed, with special assistance from Chandrashekhar Kumar. Along with the participants, the jury members were also honored by the district administration.
